So you know how Cosmo (the magazine) does their 50 bachelors in the November Man issue?  Well, I was friends in high school (and continue to be acquaintanceswith) this year's Hawaii bachelor!  Crazy.  That's right, boys and girls, Chris Bordoy is this year's Hawaii bachelor.  And I played RISK! with him in our AP US History class my junior year. He lives on Oahu, and I'll be on Oahu when that issue comes out.  You know I'm going to get him to sign it.  :D

I made my first ever non-work cheese cake.  By this I mean the first one not made for work at work.  It's pumpkin.  And smells delicious.  But we can't eat it until tomorrow.   That is all.

Yay, Japoki is coming down from Portland right now.  Tomorrow morning we're going to eat at the Glenwood (where I've never eaten befre), and then go to the corn maze.  Woot.

Oh and first day of classes was today.  But not for me!  OH MY!

I never did say that my Dethklok boys arrived, did I?  Well, they did.  I shall have to take silly photos and post them at a later date. 

OH.  And I've been drawing at night during that 1/2 hour when you go to bed and suddenly aren't tired enough to really go to bed yet.  Working on Briar's new outfit to complement Robin's.  And I started on Oberon.  He looks sufficiently enough like an asshat.  And also, he and Robin look enough alike for the genetic father/son connection to be noticable.

 Anyone got any good SF authors?  I'm almost done with what Alastair Reynolds currently has to offer.  If I can get my hands on Houses of the Sun that leaves me with maybe 3 more of his books.  I love him.  What I'm looking for is hard SF.  Anyway.  I hunger.

Patooooooooo.....Mustering the initiative to go to reception then to Blindern, then back here to pack.  I ate breakfast.  That's a start.  I just need to go outsid then I'm good to go.  Huuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...Remember, D, THROW THINGS OUT TODAY.  Yes, now, I'mgoing to slowly get going.

So my internet got turned off on Monday, and do you know how they informed me?  VIa email.  Logical.  =/  Anyway, my computer may or may not have had a virus and that's why they shut it off.  Well, I think I fixed it, both with Norton and with the CD they gave me  Called up Houston (yes, that's what the IT is called) and the girl said it could take 2 days but probably tomorrow.  But about an hour ago I figured what the hell and plugged my cable back in and yay internet.

Just took this less than an hour ago over at Sognsvann.  I posted it on dA entitled (you guessed it) "The Last Year."  Our lovely little Daniel is 19 now.  Hence, the title.  Now, to bed with me.  I'm supposed to wake up in 5.5 hours.  And take a test.  BOO.

 I just preordered the Dethklok figures.  To be shipped to me on July 30th.  For the price of $95.  BUT!  I could easily spend that much or more on groceries here in Norway on just one freaking trip to the store.  So either way, that money was going.  I've decided they're a present to myself for my birthday.  And now to keep my money spending to a minimum until the end of June.  Which I've actually been pretty good at, amazingly.
